Linux Based Email

Bynari develops email products that allow native Outlook™ sharing. Bynari’s Insight Family of products consists of Linux based email server, Connector and Addressbook used to share with Outlook, and Insight Webclient for Outlook sharing with a web client.

Insight Server is a Linux based e-mail server that uses open source imap e mail server components and proprietary tools. Insight Server is a completely integrated Linux e mail Server with components that include anti-spam and anti-virus applications, backup software, migration tools, and high availability system. With the Insight Connector, it acts as an alternative to Microsoft's Exchange server.

Insight Server uses multiple open source e mail server components like Cyrus IMAP, OpenLDAP, Berkeley DB, Postfix, Spamassassin, and ClamAV. These open source products provide stability and open standards to Bynari’s Linux e mail server.

Insight server is a rock-solid e mail server that is designed for small to large number of users. It provides very simple and intuitive management console. Insight Server supports load balance and distributed environments. It also supports redundancy by acting as a failover system for multiple instances of Insight Servers.

Insight WebClient is a groupware web mail client that allows collaboration with Outlook™, Sunbird, and Evolution. The WebClient supports calendar sharing, global address book contacts sharing, folder sharing, and resource scheduling natively with Outlook clients. For other email clients, as long as the email client has iCal support, Bynari’s web mail client allows calendar sharing, contacts sharing, and other sharing features with Outlook. Users authenticating with Active Directory or OpenLDAP can use the WebClient for the corporate address book directory.

Insight WebClient works with the latest browsers on Windows, Linux, and MAC.

Insight AddressBook is a plug-in that works with Outlook’s contacts to provide the same look and feel as Microsoft’s Global Address List™, from any LDAP server. Address book is shared with other users using Outlook™ contacts on the same server.

The AddressBook can be used alone to provide corporate address book for all of the users. It works with any LDAP directories and Microsoft’s Active Directory. It also integrates completely with the Insight Connector and Outlook.

Bynari’s address book software is designed to provide customers, with even very large directory, instantaneous lookups when using the "check name" feature in a new mail message. It has caching capabilities, and queries take less than three seconds for the entire directory.

The browsable address book can lookup and display the name, email, phone numbers, fax, and other information for the users. The schema for the address book can be changed to work with any LDAP and mail server. It allows any Outlook users to see company's directory and works with PST file or Bynari's local cache file.

Insight Connector allows IMAP servers (like Insight Server) to act as an ExchangeTM alternative server that enables native Outlook sharing. With Insight Connector, all groupware functions are available within Outlook(2000-2007).

Use Bynari’s Insight Server, Cyrus IMAP, Courier IMAP, Citadel or Kolab open source servers, to share calendars, tasks, and folders with Outlook users. In addition, most of the features/functions of Outlook are supported.

Some of the features include resource management, public folders sharing, appointments/tasks scheduling, voting, grouping, calendar sharing, multiple accounts under one profile and other groupware features of Outlook. Over 95% of the features/functions of Outlook are supported with the Insight Connector.
