MASC Data Systems was founded in 1981 as a developer of software
for the SCUBA Diving industry, hence the name MASC washed ashore.
• A relationship was formed in 1983 with The Santa Cruz Operation as
MASC developed applications with multi-user, networked capabilities
using the SCO XENIX Operating System. Along with software and network
design, training became a large part of our operation.
• In 1988 The Santa Cruz Operation (SCO) designated MASC Data Systems
as one of their first independant Authorized Education Centers (AEC).
MASC has been a leader in technical education for SCO products including
XENIX, UNIX, OpenDesktop, OpenServer Release 5, UnixWare and Tarantella.
• In 1991, MASC was
authorized by Unix System Laboratory as a Licensed Education Center.
In 1992 MASC became a Novell AEC for UnixWare. In 1994 we became a Microsoft
Solutions Provider for Windows NT, and an AEC for SunSoft.
• MASC has developed curriculum and conducted specialized training for
many companies including SCO, Acer/Altos and NEC. These programs include
both hardware, software and network training.
• Working very closely over the years with engineering groups, MASC
has been involved during the development process of products. This has
enabled MASC to be ready for training, consulting and installation needs
at "first customer ship" of many products.
• December 2000, MASC was designated as an SCO Priemier Partner because
of our technical expertise of the complete product line.
• January 2001, MASC became a SonicWALL Medalion Partner covering the
Sales, Service, Installation and network design for the complete line
of firewalls.
• April 2002, MASC was designated a SonicWALL Gold Partner and Certified
as a Managed Security Partner (MSP).
• January 2006, MASC became a Bynari Partner being able to integrate
their Email/Colaberation offering.
